FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we determine the date of the workshop?

I try and keep date options flexible so my students can pick the best dates for themselves. So I list the currently offered dates with each workshop option and you specify the date you pick in your cart notes.

Or if you don’t see a suitable date, feel free to reserve a spot and add your preferred dates to your order. We will find a suitable date or your order will be fully refunded.

If you’d like to ask about the possible dates first, reach out please. 🙏

All workshops take place on Saturdays and Sundays, between 13:00 - 17:00.

What should I bring with me?

All the materials and tools needed will be provided. Coffee, tea, and some snacks will be available but feel free to bring your own food if you’d like to take a meal break.

A towel might be handy in case you start to sweat up a bit during working.

Can I bring some wood myself?

Absolutely! Just consult beforehand so we can make sure it is suitable material to work with.

The wood used during the workshops will also be upcycled or naturally/fairly sourced (e.g. storm-fallen, prunings, etc.)

Can I book for a group, on a date and time we select?

Yes. Please contact us with your preferred dates and we can schedule accordingly.

Since most workshops require no machinery or workbench, it is also possible to hold the workshop at a place of your choice for an added vdvbbcoverage for travel.

How can I get to the workshop?

The workshop is on the backyard of our family home in Hilversum, situated right next to the Corversbos. Once your get to the Hilversum Station, best is to bike the rest of the way (OVFiets is available) which takes around 12 minutes. The next recommended option is to simply walk which takes about 35 minutes and has some slight elevation along the route. The buses only partially cover the remaining distance and they tend run infrequently. If you catch bus number 1, you’ll still have about 15 minutes of walking when you get off of it.
